The Paleo diet

So it's been over a year since we have posted.  I plan on posting pictures soon, but I'm still busy (can you imagine that!)

I am going to try to post things about our Paleo lifestyle...
So far the only thing that  have realy made that tastes horrible were the pancakes!

Otherwise I have made chicken dishes, pork dishes, sausage dishes, ice cream, cookies, and muffins.

The main idea behind PALEO is that you eat foods that can be consumed in their raw state... now you may say "What about meat?!"  Well cooking meat (as far as I understand) just kills the bacteria, not the composition.  So we do not eat dairy, grains, or legumes.  So overall it's a lot of meat, veggies, some fruits, and nuts.

Fingers crossed I can get back to this blog soon and add some updates on that front!
Hope everyone had a great summer :)

Lorelei's first birthday

Lorelei's first birthday

I still have not found my camera cord!

So Jared's cousin Erica so kindly sent me pictures of Lorelei's first birthday. I will post more about that later.

We've been dealing with water damage to our home due to the ice, getting a new furnace/ac and water heater... and a bunch of little things with the cars. Isn't God not supposed to give you more debt than you can handle? I kinda think I remember something like that!

Enjoy the pictures!

Happy ground hogs day

So if the ground hog was in Indianapolis he would have suffocated last night because of the ice. So I guess it will be winter forever!
As for us...
Lorelei began school last week and came down with a really really bad cold. I will write more later but to sum it all up she's been very miserable, we've had horrible weather that closed down my office for two days and I have an upper respiratory infection.

I am looking for my camera cord, and once I find it I will post more pictures of Lorelei, but until then enjoy these words...

The groundhog didn't see his shadow! (I can't believe what a big production that is in the first place!)
